Happy’s Humble Burger Farmīut not something that will blow you away. Visually speaking, Godlike Burger is solid enough, with an art style that is pleasing enough to look at. On top of this, the game’s keyboard shortcuts are almost unusable. Controls are also awkward, with context sensitive prompts that seem to randomly change, especially during more chaotic moments. It has you completing completely arbitrary goals which change after each failed run. The biggest problem comes with the game’s challenge system, which is critical to progressing at a solid pace. Once you die, you are sent back to the beginning of the game however, there are permanent upgrades. Godlike Burger is also a roguelike, but one that didn’t manage to hook me like Hades did. Though the game is also rather undercooked, pun intended. It’s a clever spin on the standard restaurant management formula Don’t get caught! Leave no witnesses and keep the police’s suspicion low by playing and planning smartly. There are different alien species and their individual strengths and weaknesses to discover. More prestige means more customers, new planets to visit and more money! Kill your customers with a range of hidden traps, deadly sauces or the good old meat cleaver! Improve your kitchen and find out what each alien race likes – uncover the secret of the perfect burger. You can’t have pesky cops around while trying to become the galaxy’s most famous burger restaurant! Cook the best burgers and turn your pitiful diner into the universe’s most famous restaurant. Better relocate your flying restaurant to a different planet, or pay a little bribe.
